My story begins much like any other love story. Don't get me wrong, the story you're about to hear isn't a mushy one. It doesn't have dragons or princes and princesses or wicked stepmothers either. Rather it was a dream I had about a seventeen year old boy and a sixteen year old girl. In my dream, don't ask me why, I took on the part of the boy.

It was a May morning, perfect for taking the girl of your dreams on an adventure walk. There was a bit of a breeze, but not too much. Susie, that's my girlfriend, was feeling pretty down so we walked to our favorite little spot a few feet from the river. We sat down under a willow tree and began to talk about all the insignificant things in life that made us happy.

After a while, Susie suggested that we play "Hide and Seek." It was her favorite game to play with me. So I told her to go hide and I would find her. I closed my eyes and began to count: "One... two..." I opened my eyes to peek and see where she had gone. "Nine... TEN! Ready or not, here I come!" The place that Susie chose to hide in wasn't that hard to find. I sneaked up behind her and yelled, "Got you!"

"Okay, okay," she laughed, "That was too easy. You go back over there and I'll hide again."

"Fine," I mumbled. I didn't particularly like to play this game, but it was good to see her smiling and laughing again. "You tell me when you've found a really good hiding place and then I'll come look for you." She kissed me and ran off into the woods. I went back to the willow and sat down under it. While I was waiting for Susie to call to me, the strangest thing happened...
