11.07.08 My birthday has been great.... so far, lol. I've been going out with with my family and friends all week and it looks like I'll be having celebrations here and there the rest of this week. Fun!
10.25.08I hope everyone is having a great Halloween season. There's a lot of excitement in the air for me as my birthday is only two weeks away. I'm still hard at work on the poetry book and accompanying audio CD. A music video for "River Run" is in the workings and the new features are being added to the website. The members area is still closed, but will be back soon. E-list and the street team are up and running, so don't forget to sign up now, and there's more surprises coming!
09.25.08What's up people?!? So you've probably heard that I've pinched a nerve in my lower spine. Well, it's true. But I'm healing nicely and can't wait to get back on the dance floor and stage! I don't know which is worse... being sick and not able to get out of bed, or being injured and feeling useless. I'm walking with the help of crutches although they sure have made my arms sore! Chat with you soon!
07.18.08Hello world! We're still working on updating the members area and getting that back up and running. Also the forums and chat are down momentarily, but we're working on that as well. No worries! In the mean time, I'm putting up more and more performance videos and there will be new songs coming out soon. Also, I'm recording all the poems so you can now hear them as well as read them. I'll be publishing the poems in a book soon and an audio CD will be available for purchase, too. So stay tuned, there's more to come!
06.16.08Hey everyone! I've been busy with the day life and am just getting to the point where I'll be able to start expanding my night life. That means more gigs and more venues. I have a couple of new and exciting opportunities that have presented themselves recently. So I'm looking forward to exploring those possibilities and see where they lead me. Until next time, take care and keep dreaming!

11.20.07As a birthday gift, my friends bought me a ticket to see Jewel in concert. The seats were nice, front row balcony. I even got to interact with her this time. She sang "Cold Song" and afterwards, when it was quiet, I yelled out "If you're gonna play that song, you have to play 'Rocker Girl!'" Her response was, "...I've actually played that one maybe once." Oh well, she's still awesome! Catch y'all later.
03.09.06Hey everybody! The open mic nights are going great, but there is one thing I'd like to make everyone aware of. The Thursday night show may be coming to a close. The owner of the Espresso Garden is trying to sell the cafe. But I'll sing till the end.
09.24.05I'd like to say that Newark Days went off without a hitch, but as every musician knows each show has its own glitches. In the end, I think everything turned out for the best. Thanks to all of you who came out to see me and, as always, I'll see ya on the road.
07.19.05Hello again! A lot has happened since my last update and things are still in motion. I've been working on getting out there and playing more and it looks like the ball is finally starting to roll. I hope I'll see you at the gigs! Love ya!
03.26.05Long time... no E! Well I've been moving from one state to another and it's been exhausting! I've found a couple of new places to sing at and made a few new friends along the way. Of course, I can't forget the old friends... especially when they come back into my life unexpectedly. Also, I lost my voice last week so I've been recovering from that and I'm almost back to par. I'll be back on stage in no time. Hope to see y'all this summer! Happy Easter!
06.27.04Hey all! Things are starting to happen now. I have a few gigs coming up and will be working harder than ever on the new album. For more info on where and when check out the events page. See ya on the road!
04.27.04What's up people?! Just thought I'd let you know that I'm working on getting some gigs sometime soon. I'll update the events page when I get final dates. Love this spring weather we're having! Talk to you soon!
01.08.04I hope everyone had a safe and happy holiday season this year. I sure did. My father remarried last month and I was requested to sing "The Power Of Love" at the wedding. I hope all is well with everyone and I will talk to you later! Bye!
11.08.03Hey all! My birthday was fun. This was the first birthday I didn't have my friends and family around me the entire time, but I still managed to have a good time. A couple of movies and a bottle of sparkling cider... fun, fun, fun. I still had a good time though. Hopefully, next year's party will be a bit bigger. Take care!
09.12.03I just got back from seeing Hanson in concert again! This time it was in Boise, and this time I got backstage to meet them. So much fun! People had actually spent the night outside The Big Easy to see this concert. We sat around for hours just waiting for show time to arrive. I brought my guitar and played for three hours taking the occasional request. We even sang some Hanson songs! It was a blast!
08.27.03Hey everyone! I'm in Los Angeles for the next couple of weeks. It's been a ton of fun so far. I saw Hanson in Las Vegas Monday night and they rocked the House Of Blues hard! Those guys are awesome! Well anyway, just thought I'd let you know what's up and that my upcoming gigs are pending for the moment. Later!
06.25.02Hello! I went to a Jewel concert this month and had a blast! Jewel rocks! I even pulled out my guitar and sang out of the back of my truck while waiting for the parking lot to clear so I could pull out of my parking spot. I even made a few new fans that night! Toodles!

"The love of music runs in my family, so it was a natural thing for me to become a musician." Echo started her love of music early in life. At the age of five she heard the song "Wind Beneath My Wings" being sung by a seven year old at a family picnic. Echo had to have that song and once she got it, she memorized it so well she could sing it for anyone anytime, "and probably drove my parents to distraction." Her grandmother then gave her a small chord organ and Echo found sticker numbers for the keys. She then began to pick out songs using songbooks with numbered notes. Later, she talked her father into letting her have a small keyboard, "which she took with her everywhere," says her mother. Echo learned to play the songs she was learning in the school choir on that keyboard and rehearsed the songs over and over until they were perfect. Being a creative person, she began to write her own music as well. Her singing began to take an upswing and she received solo assignments in choir. Like so many other people, she recorded a song at Marriott's Great America. In a talent show at Hopkins Middle School in Fremont, CA, Echo, accompanied by her friend on the keyboard, preformed "The Rose," another Bette Middler song, to a most appreciative audience. This performance was aired on the local Public Television station a few days later. Since 1997, Echo has taught herself piano, banjo, guitar, and flute. She has performed professional quality solos, in both bands and choirs, throughout her high school career. Echo's first gig was a command performance at a wedding in the Bay Area where she played requests for over an hour. Her next professional performance in May of 2000 was for the Garden Valley High School Senior Night. (What was to be only an hour set turned into a by-demand three-hour performance.) Her many performances have included an appearance in the Crouch Fourth of July Festival, and a solo spot during an Awards Night for her school. She has performed at the Sourdough Cafe, and also at Papa Baird's (Burnt Pines) in Lowman, ID. Echo was not your ordinary teen. She graduated from Garden Valley High School with honors as Salutatorian of her graduating class of 2001. She was one of two Juniors honored by Idaho State University and has been printed in Who's Who Among American High School Students 2000-2001. She has taken the professional name "Echo" under which she is publishing all of her music. At the age of 19, Echo was nicknamed "The Jewel Of The Rockies" by some adoring fans. In 2001 she enlisted the cooperation of her friends at school, who are very talented in their own right, as back up band and vocal group to her lead in the production of her first CD, Firelight. This CD contains eight original songs out of the over one hundred songs she has written. Firelight sold better than expected and is currently available only online. The latest album from Echo, Sonar, was released in October 2007. At the age of 24, Echo has performed in various karaoke shows, open mic nights, and even Newark Days, a local county fair. She has also won first place in a local karaoke contest sponsored by 95.3 KRTY-FM held at Mountain Charlie's in Los Gatos, CA as well as a contest held at The Cardinal Lounge in San Jose, CA. By request, Echo is now working on a country album to be released in 2008. |
